North Star

The North Star project is the most highly classified operation ever to be undertaken by the four Earth-Lords, but, unfortunately, it has gone critically wrong.

In the year 2499, the already over-populated earth was gripped in the serious state of starvation. Wars were commonplace and man fought man in the desperate attempt to control the more fertile regions of the earth. An emergency meeting was called by the four Earth-Lords, and together they decided on an elaborate plan. They would construct a space station that would orbit the earth. Not a space station like those you and I know of, but a huge man-made, star-like construction that would be ca¬pable of housing not hundreds of people, but thousands upon thousands of them. Not only would the space station provide a home for these peoples, but with the controlled simulated atmosphere it would be the perfect agricultural site, thus helping ease the food shortage.

Daily flights filled with materials and scientists were sent to build and test the station. Everything seemed to be on schedule until one day when a flight never returned from the station. The space station, now known as the North Star, was paged from the operations centre on the Earth, but there was no reply.

Upon arriving aboard the station you find that the North Star has been over-run by a strange alien horde. No human lifeforms are visible. Are they all dead? The life-support systems all seem to be inoperative and only your robotic implants stop you from becoming a victim of the aliens’ atmosphere. Your task is clear: destroy the alien lifeforms and re-activate the life- support systems. To perform the latter, you will have to travel to the very heart of the North Star’s nerve centre. This will not be an easy mission, but you must succeed - all Earth is depending upon you.

O projeto North Star é a operação mais altamente classificada de sempre a ser empreendida pelos quatro Terra-Lords, mas, infelizmente, ele passou criticamente errada.

No ano de 2499, a terra já superpovoada foi tomado no estado grave de fome. Guerras eram comuns e homem lutou homem na tentativa desesperada de controlar as regiões mais férteis da terra. Uma reunião de emergência foi chamado pelos quatro Terra Senhores, e juntos eles decidiram sobre um plano elaborado. Eles iria construir uma estação espacial que orbitam a Terra. Não uma estação espacial como aqueles que você e eu sei de, mas um feitas pelo homem enorme, estrela-como construção que seria ca¬pable da habitação não centenas de pessoas, mas milhares e milhares deles. Não só a estação espacial proporcionar um lar para estes povos, mas com a atmosfera simulada controlado seria o perfeito local agrícola, contribuindo assim para aliviar a escassez de alimentos.

Os vôos diários cheios de materiais e cientistas foram enviados para construir e testar a estação. Tudo parecia estar dentro do cronograma até que um dia, quando um vôo nunca mais voltou da estação. A estação espacial, agora conhecida como a Estrela do Norte, foi paginado do centro de operações na Terra, mas não houve resposta.

Ao chegar a bordo da estação você achar que a Estrela do Norte tem sido ao longo prazo por uma horda alienígena estranho. Não há formas de vida humanas são visíveis. eles estão todos mortos? Os sistemas de apoio à vida todos parecem ser inoperante e somente seus implantes robóticos impedi-lo de se tornar uma vítima da atmosfera dos alienígenas. Sua tarefa é clara: destruir as formas de vida alienígenas e re-ativar os sistemas de suporte LIFE. Para realizar o último, você terá que viajar para o coração do centro nervoso do Estrela do Norte. Esta não será uma missão fácil, mas você precisa ter sucesso - tudo Terra está dependendo de você.
